Fracino boosts charity festive cheer by raising over £500 for Text Santa

The Fracino team have thrown themselves into the Christmas spirit – donning loud Christmas jumpers and raising £566 for Text Santa – ITV’s nationwide appeal which gives hope to families in difficulty.

Everyone donated £2 to take part in the fundraiser with participants entered into a raffle which saw a hat trick of prizes up for grabs. Hayley Bates won a bottle of cava, Danny Fitzpatrick scooped a tower of treats - and Tony Revill savoured scrumptious biscuits.

To keep the fundraising momentum going, some employees had baked-up a storm of mince pies, chocolate brownies and cupcakes along with an enormous Oreo cake.

The multi award winning manufacturer supported the fantastic Text Santa cause in 2014 – raising over £100 which was split between three worthy charities - Macmillan Cancer Support , which provides emotional support and practical advice to anyone affected by cancer and Save the Children which works in 120 countries to save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them to fulfil their potential.

The third beneficiary was Make-A-Wish Foundation UK whose raison d'être is granting magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

The December 18 fundraiser rounded off a storming year for the 60-strong, third generation family business which has been included in The Manufacturer’s Top 100 manufacturing companies and clinched a total of eight high-profile awards - which included being crowned Company of the Year in the Birmingham Post’s business awards.

Additional accolades are as follows:
2015 Birmingham Post Export Award
2015 Family Business of the Year – Midlands
2015 New Frontiers Award (UK Red Ribbon Awards – Family Business Place)

Additional milestones include creating SUB1 - a bespoke, state-of-the-art espresso machine for SUBWAY® Franchisee outlets across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The prestigious contact, which has proved so successful that it is being out across Poland, entailed Fracino being approached by European Independent Purchasing Company (EIPC) Limited - a non-profit making organisation owned by SUBWAY® Franchisees in Europe - to commission a bespoke machine for SUBWAY® stores.

Fracino MD, Adrian Maxwell, said: “We’d like to end the year by saying an enormous ‘thank you’ to our valued distributors in the UK and abroad and to our great team who have worked tirelessly to sustain our success.
