Birmingham coffee machine manufacturer savours global recognition on international TV.
The reputation of espresso machine manufacturer Fracino - which exports to over 70 countries worldwide - has rocketed to new heights as a programme featuring its multi-award winning machines airs to an audience of millions of viewers on April 5.
The storming success of the third generation family business - which manufacturers almost 5,000 machines annually - features in a Discovery Channel programme entitled ‘How Things Work’.
Demonstrating how Fracino produces high-quality coffee machines in its Birmingham factory, the broadcast will be transmitted on the Quest channel in the UK and Europe on April 5 at 9pm.
The development marks another dynamic milestone for business which was founded in a garden shed 53 years ago and now boasts a 60-strong team with a £4.6m turnover.
Sought out by global brands including SUBWAY®, which has commissioned a bespoke coffee machine for its low to medium volume sites across the UK, Ireland and Poland, Fracino operates a 700-strong UK distribution network in the UK and a 40 plus distribution network globally.
Across 2015 Fracino scooped eight high-profile awards. The business started 2016 by receiving a silver accolade in the Smart Product category of the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards and two additional award shortlistings – and is on track to post a £5.5m turnover at year end on March 31.
